This mattress [memory foam] is some kind of wonderful.  I knew that it was going to help me but it is much better than I expected.  With the old innerspring mattress I would get up in the morning and I could barely walk because my back would hurt me so bad.  I was dependent on pain medication to sleep and even had to get up in the middle of the night and take Hydrocodone for the pain, but no longer.    The morning after my first night on the mattress was the first morning in 30 years that I woke up without pain.  Some mornings I would have to slide out of bed on my knees because the pain was so bad.  Now I can stand up every morning and stretch.  Thank you so much, God bless you.

I was activated with the US Navy Reserves in August 2004 and sent to Iraq.  In November 2004 I sustained an injury to my lower back.  I returned home in March of 2005 and was in constant pain.  I couldn’t sleep more than two or three hours.  By June I was exhausted.  The next step in my treatment was Morphine.  I knew that if I became dependent upon this drug that it could ruin my life.

I did some research and found that our bed may be the problem.  I called Sleep Essentials and talked to Lee.  He explained in great detail about the hammock effect and the problem that it creates on the lower back.  He also offered a possible solution.  I was doubtful because I had tried everything.

I went in to Sleep Essentials and talked to Lee and tried the Visco Elastic Memory Foam mattress.  It felt great so I purchased the mattress.  The first two nights didn’t offer any comfort.  At this point I was convinced that nothing could help me.  On the third night I slept six to seven hours without waking.  I felt revived.  It did work.

I have had the mattress now for a month.  I never took one dose of Morphine.  The dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep have diminished.  I was able to return to work feeling rested.  I sleep seven hours or more now.  Sleep was such an important part of my recovery and if Lee hadn’t taken the time to listen who knows where I would be at this point.

I just wanted to write you a note and tell you how much I am loving my new mattress that I bought from you in October 2005. After experiencing severe back pain for almost 6 weeks, and finding little relief from medication or physical therapy, I asked my physical therapist about the possibility of my mattress contributing to my back pain. She said it could definitely be part of the problem, and she recommended I visit your store to try out some new mattresses.      This letter is to express my enjoyment of the bed I recently purchased from you.  For the past 14 years my husband has had back pain directly related to a motorcycle accident that broke his back in several places, both his shoulder blades, collar bone and right arm as well punctured his left lung.  Needless to say, he knew pain very well.
     For the past 6 years we have been sleeping on a mattress that was purchased at a mattress warehouse for $100.  You can imagine the quality we got and unfortunately, the price was paid in our health was far greater than the money we spent.  In the past 2 years I had begun to have back and hip pain of my own that greatly reduced my sleep from 8 hours to 5-6 hours each night.  My husband's health suffered, my health suffered all in the name of saving a few dollars!
     Now that I have a visco-memory foam mattress, things have changed.  My husband and I both get a better nights rest.  One of the most notable things that let me know I am getting a more restful sleep is that I actually dream now.  Before, I would not be comfortable enough to drift off into what is called the Dream state.  Now it is a regular occurrence.
     I recommend anyone who is looking for a better, healthier night's rest to think about purchasing one of these beds.  I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is to get a good nights sleep.  It is an investment in your health that is priceless!

I can't begin to tell you how much I like my new bed.  Everybody who comes in the house is invited to test it!  Now seriously, The first night I slept on it, I slept for 4 hours without moving.  After a brief "pit-stop", I fell right back to sleep for another 4 hours.  This is probably the most sleep I had (in one night) in the last 2 years.  Since then, I have been trying really hard to catch up with my last two years of sleep.  I don't want to get up in the mornings!  Charlie [the dog} has had lazy mornings too!!!

I had been waking up during the night for months with hip pain.  It would begin after I would lie down at night and made it impossible for me to get comfortable or sleep through the night.  Neither my husband or I could move well after getting out of bed each morning.  Needless to say, we were both tired all the time. 

At some point we began to suspect that our mattress could be the problem.  We looked closely and found that it had taken on a hammock shape (sagged in the middle).  We had purchased a conventional mattress set from Sleep Essentials in October for a spare bedroom, and we were most pleased with it.  However, we wanted to consider a memory foam mattress for our room....so I called to see if you carried them.  We purchased a memory foam mattress that very day.

We have been sleeping on it for a week now, and we are really pleased with it.  I no longer have the hip pain at night.  If my hip begins hurting during the day, it stops hurting during the night as I sleep.  The mattress seems to take the pressure off, allows me to get comfortable, and I am (finally!) getting a restful sleep.  I find that I am in a comfortable position in every position....so I am not tossing and turning half the night.  I also noticed, almost from the first morning after sleeping on the new mattress, that we were both able to move far better after getting out of bed. 

Needless to say, we are both pleased with our new memory foam mattress.
